No delays at the barrier
K Ring is always on hand, so no more digging around at the barrier for your ticket, Oyster Card or the right contactless payment card
No more card clash
K Ring is always separate from your payment cards, so you’ll never accidentally use the wrong card to pay for your travel
K Ring is powered by Mastercard® which means you can also use it to pay anywhere in the world that displays the contactless payment symbol
Knock in. Knock out.
You’ll be used to the touch in, touch out action when using your Oyster or contactless card on the Transport for London network, so you’ll get the hang of K Ring in no time.
Just make the Transmission Ready gesture with your hand and knock on the yellow card reader on entering and exiting a Tube station – travelling with K Ring really is as easy as it looks.
Fare capping with K Ring
If you use K Ring to pay as you go on the TfL network, and you make multiple journeys in a day or week, your fares will be capped. This means the amount that you pay is limited, and could be cheaper than buying a Travelcard. Fare capping allows you maximum flexibility throughout the day or week without worrying that you’ve spent more than you need to. Caps are applied automatically at the end of each day where appropriate. Learn more about the benefits of fare capping here.
