This year hasn’t been good to the charity sector so, here at K Wearables, we’re doing what we can this Christmas to help spread the word about charities close to our hearts.
The Big Give is currently running the UK’s biggest match funding campaign, The Christmas Challenge, and is representing three of the charities we’re supporting. For over 30 years, Back Up has helped people and their families to rebuild their independence after a devastating spinal cord injury. Their award-winning, practical services challenge the perceptions of what’s possible to increase the skills and confidence of those with spinal cord injury. Back Up is there for people in their darkest hours – so they get back up to living life to the full.

Re-engage tackles loneliness in the most at-risk group: people aged 75+ who live alone, helping older people who are incredibly isolated to find new friends in their local communities or over the phone. With the support of volunteers, they provide regular companionship and something to look forward to.

The winter months are some of the most difficult for young homeless people. The demand for Herts Young Homeless’s services has grown since the onset of the Crisis and the need is now as great as ever.
