What could be better than five days of surfing, sun and star-studded performances on the Cornish coast? Not much – unless you throw Kerv Ring into the mix…

Now in its eleventh year, Boardmasters Festival took Newquay by storm again last month, combining live music and surfing with skateboarding and BMX competitions. And we were there – getting wet, getting down, and getting incredulous looks from all the on-site retailers as we paid like wizards with Kerv Ring.

Boardmasters is a fine example of festivals doing payments right. Nobody wants to be messing about with cash at a festival (especially at Boardmasters – who wants to ruin the sleek lines of a wetsuit with a wallet or a purse?), and the retailers have fully embraced contactless this year. Contactless keeps the queues moving and increases peace of mind, and we’re glad that Kerv Ring could contribute to that.
